Susan Cook is a mental health professional and advanced comprehensive family law mediator who has dedicated her
more than 20 years of practice to assisting people and families experiencing difficult transitions. As a founder
member of FDRIO, Susan works tirelessly to encourage everyone to take advantage of all opportunities to resolve issues with
the least amount of conflict.
Combining
her training from the University of Waterloo under the reknowned Barbara Landau, and her years in family court she has built a practice in family law
mediation, parenting coordination and divorce coaching, and maintains an emphasis on the principle of acting “in the
best interests of the children”. She has had great success in minimizing
both the financial cost, as well as the emotional impact, to the family as a whole.
With
her extensive work and training in the field of mental health, mediation and child development, her work with couples,
individuals, parent-teen mediation and family counselling has enabled her clients to build and maintain strong family
relationships and has brought about reconciliation through those difficult teen years.
